This was a nice quick meal. I chopped up some thin sliced turkey breast and sauteed in a pan with a little coconut oil and Country Bob’s Sauce. With half an anjou pear on the side.

Chowda!
John made dinner tonight. He used a recipe for clam chowder from Dave Lieberman. He edited the recipe to reduce the cream, subbing 2/3 with 1% milk and not using much butter. We did not do croutons, but used oyster crackers (like any good New Englander!)
The soup came out to about 240 calories per serving and was wonderful!

Cubist dinner
Rainy and dreary here today, but warm – 48 degrees! Spring may get here after all.
Great weather for a yummy latte and a nanner snack.
Dinner was kind of fun. I wanted a sweet potato, so I chopped one into small cubes so it would cook faster. Sauteed it in a bit of coconut oil, salt and pepper. While that was cooking, I chopped up my cooked chicken into little cubes as well. Then tossed in some broccoli florets. Made a colorful yummy meal!

Lovely lentils
John cooked some extra brown rice with his lunch today, so I decided to do a little lentil stirfry for dinner. A bit of coconut oil, cooked green lentils, broccoli and 1/4 cup brown rice. Seasoned with some Sate seasoning. Yum!
With half an anjou pear.

Sauced up.
Dinner was stir fried chicken breast in Country Bob’s sauce, sauteed broccoli and the last of the clementines. Grocery shopping tomorrow!
John and I were going to a concert tonight, but it was standing room only, and we didn’t feel like standing for 2 hours. So we just went to a cafe where I had a wonderful nonfat cappuccino. I drizzled it with a bit of honey and dusted it with cinnamon.
Bagels for breakfast tomorrow!

Quiet dinner
Dinner was another of those chicken sausage links. They are so darn good! And broccoli is back, yay! Panfried with a bit of coconut oil. Plus 2 clems.
Since we don't get coffee out, I had some tea and a hand full of dark chocolate chips instead.
Shoveling tomorrow!

Chickenfest
Wonderful natural chicken apple sausage on a wheat roll for lunch. It was so good! With more of that yummy broccolini and some clems.
Dinner was pan-seared chicken breast with a side of acorn squash (no broccoli!!) and strawberries. I dearly love that I can get strawberries year round in upstate NY! In Illinois, they were seasonal or at least way too expensive during the winter.

Broccolini
Today's latte, had it with a banana.
Dinner was a new veggie for me: broccolini! I was thinking it was like baby broccoli, but it is more like asparagus. It tastes a lot like asparagus, only more tender. I like the tops of regular broccoli better than the tops of this, though. I definitely would get this again, and I have some left, too!
Post workout snack tonight will be a balance bar. It's ready and waiting! Cookie dough flavor, which is quite good, and 15 grams of protein!
A perfectly on plan day will go into the books today!

Salad Express
Contents of bowl:
Spring mix
cucumber
carrots
gorgonzola cheese
dried cranberries
turkey breast
fat free raspberry vinaigrette. I just love the combo of cranberries and cheese. This was sooo good!
After some shopping (I bought 2 pairs of size 8 pants!! Yippee!!) we had coffee and a treat at Mocha Lisa's, one of our favorite coffee shops. It's fairly far from home, so it's a real treat to get here. The ambiance is wonderful, as is the food.
The treat is an almond horn, which I adore.
Dinner at home. Note that I did not have broccoli tonight!
Sweet potato fries, clam strips and strawberries. Very tasty.
Movie at home tonight, with some chocolate chips and pretzels :)

Taste of the sea.
And yes, I do eat broccoli pretty much every day. I don't like very many veggies - but I love broccoli.
Dessert, or an after workout snack, I guess, was a mini pumpkin pie made in a jumbo silicone muffin cup, and topped with a bit of chai marmalade.

Boca dinner
I snarfed it down pretty fast, too LOL! I do like the Boca things on bread or buns, but I already had oats and a wrap today, so need to watch the carb ratio for the day.
Went to Starbuck's tonight for a small non-fat latte. Nice that they now have ceramic cups for when you stay there.

Apricot Chicken
Tried an experiment for dinner. I cut up some dried apricots and boiled them in about 1/2 cup of water, then added some cornstarch that was mixed with cold water to make a sauce out of it. Poured it over pan cooked chicken. The apricots are dark in color because they are the non-sulfered kind. Roasted broccoli again, because I really liked it last night! And a super juicy anjou pear.

Quick vegetarian chili
Ingredients:
1/2 cup onion
2 tsp coconut oil (or other oil
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
bit of minced garlic
1 cup of cooked white beans (or any bean, really)
1/2 cup TVP, hydrated in a cup of boiling water
1 can of diced or chopped tomatoes with juice
S&P to taste
In a medium saucepan, heat the oil. Add the onions, spices, garlic, and bell pepper and saute for a few minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add Salt and Pepper to taste.
Yum!
I like this topped with a bit of cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
